meet the lobos

this morning was the "fall kickoff" event to introduce the marching band, drill team, cheerleaders, and football team to parents.  we OG parents know this event as meet the lobos, so that is what i am calling it!!

no matter the name, we were so excited to see little sister in the role of bass 2!

somehow, i was lucky enough to have her in my line of sight even though she was way in the back.

the band played 4 songs, then they were done.

held at the stadium in years past, this year's venue was the new indoor sports facility on campus - which had one major pro, but several cons.  pro: we were not in the sun.  cons: no stands for spectators to sit in, not air conditioned, no air movement/breeze.  so, we parents that did not bring folding chairs (most of us) sat crisscross applesauce on the turf  along the side of the field for the short time it lasted.  oh well, i guess we senior parents are just set in our ways and don't do well with change! ;-)
