the party

we were blessed to have lots of family come to town to celebrate big sister's graduation with us.  we had the house all decorated for a wonderful party!

the graduation ceremony

 first, i dropped big sister off at the high school since students were required to be bussed to the ceremony.  she is so ready for this day!!

after we arrived at the venue, we anxiously awaited the start of the ceremony and hoped we would be able to find her in the crowd and also hoped she would be able to see us in the stands.

luckily, she found us. ;-)

official last day

today is officially the last day of school, even though big sister finished up finals as a senior on tuesday.  but that is no reason to mess up our "last day" vs "first day" photo tradition!  by now, they know the drill and have fun recreating the images.

panoramic photo & legacy walk

who's ready for a half day of senior fun?!?

senior events today included an early-morning panoramic photo in the gym with all the seniors - all 520+ of them!  there was a little bit of time to get yearbooks signed, too.

then those that signed up to go on a legacy walk headed to the buses.  since big sister's elementary & middle school are not open anymore, she just tagged along with friends to the school of their choice.  i'm sure it was fun just to goof off and prance around in her cap and gown.

they received congratulation cards from some of the elementary kids, so precious!
