bluebonnets

spring has sprung!

we made a quick detour after school to capture our beautiful bluebonnet memories!!

senior session

 big sister borrowed a cap & gown from a friend who graduated last year, which we used to take some beautiful senior photos.  the new portrait lens i got for my birthday was magical!!

first we drove to a nearby nature preserve, where we were kinda shocked at how many people were there walking, running, hiking....i had found it as i searched websites for good local places for portraits.  we managed to wander off to some quieter areas.  my only complaint was the lack of foilage on many trees, being early spring and all.  nevertheless, we made the most of it. 

next we headed to a park closer to home, where i had taken the girls for their first communion photos in 2012 & 2014.  big sister had changed outfits on the ride here, and we got a nice variety of poses.

we continued north, took a break for lunch, and then found some fun murals in the downtown area.  and there were more wardrobe changes.next stop was the high school.  the band trailer made a nice backdrop, as did the school building itself.

one more quick stop at the fire station to capture the mural we pass by daily.

oh wait, let's see if we can get a few in front of the lake in our neighborhood.so after 6 locations, 5 hours, and 4 outfits - we ended up with about 600 photos!

the last home game of the season is in the books.  the team took another loss 0-4 but there were still some fun moments to watch.  the weather is finally spring-like in the high 60s.  little sister did not get a ton of play time but she did well when she was in.
