tackling the basics

 basics today, brilliance tomorrow.

little sister started her post-high school education today at community college.  she needs a little bit more time to figure out what she really wants to do and study, so this is the best way to do that right now.  she really wants to end up at ok state, so we'll see how it goes this semester.  she is planning to continue working at dunkin part time and looking forward to the ref season starting as well.  she's always liked keeping busy so i'm sure she will find a way to juggle it all.  we are impressed by her level of maturity and sense of responsibility, and enjoy that she will be living at home with us for a little while longer.

new campus

congratulations to big sister for finally making it to the big time!  classes started today on the utd campus and she was there for it.  it's been a long 2-year road filled with community college classes and doubt that this day would ever come.  she is commuting about 30 miles each way, 3 days a week to campus while still enjoying all the benefits of living at home with us. we couldn't be more thrilled for her as she starts this new journey.
