turning 21!

 big sister chose to celebrate her 21st birthday a few ways.  up first - korean bbq family dinner with mango cake dessert provided by the bf.

then she celebrated with friends with a karaoke party.  it was a perfect way to commemorate such a milestone birthday!

before sending her off, i made a few sorority cookies to send for use in little sister's bid day buddy basket. carnations, crescent moons and pink & brown.

this set was requested by a repeat customer, so i was happy to squeeze in 1 dozen for a baby boy shower.

just when i thought i was done with grad season, here comes another set.  1 dozen for where they graduated from, and 1 dozen for where they are headed next.

the golden birthday

when you turn the same age as the day of the month you were born, it's called your golden birthday!  that is today for little sister!!  happy 19 years! 

she chose the lunch spot, but the extravagant dessert showcase was shared by both sisters.  dark chocolate, fresh fruit, and churros - wow!  all wrapped up in an edible piñata that you must smash your way through. yum!

just 1 dozen to help celebrate a milestone birthday!  i worked in the favorite color of hot pink by saturating all of the colors from the typical pastels you see with this character.  they were a hit!

i don't "love" to do character cookies.....but when an old friend from my jcp days reaches out for cookies - of course i'm gonna give them a try.  i avoided doing super details characters in instead opted for simple outlines, but i think they turned out very sophisticated. (2 dozen)

construction cookies

the inspo for this set was a cake with a unique color scheme for a construction set.  it was fun to work the baby blue into the design. (2 dozen)

little sister in paris

invited by her bf's parents, little sister made her first international trip - 11 days in france! what an amazing opportunity and experience!

highlights included notre dame, the louvre, moulin rouge, the eiffel tower and a dinner cruise, marseille and monaco.
