full band comp #1

 

another saturday.....another performance....this time the full band was on display as they competed in the preliminary round at 2:45pm - and yes it was yet again so very hot.

ready to take the field.

i was able to jump up into the stands and take pics during the performance.

we didn't place in the top ten - so that meant we did not advance to finals.  there was a lot of tough competition but we walked away feeling proud and determined to work on the feedback we got and make next week's show even better.

baby boy cookies

i got a referral order for 3 dozen baby shower cookies.  she knew the exact design she wanted - i just had to recreate it with my own spin.  once i found the "baby" cutter, the rest was easy.* * * * * * *

percussion comp #2

this week's contest was even hotter than last week's - ugh!!  but the kids were real troopers.

they performed at 6:48 pm.

results were not great, but every performance is a learning experience.

volleyball cookies

i had a senior mom reach out to me with a request for 2 dozen cookies to celebrate her daughter's senior night volleyball game.  this gave me the perfect opportunity to try out my new class of 2024 cutter!  i also used my new scalloped name plaque for the first time.

little sister had the first of four drumline contests today - and it sure was a hot one!

their performance was at 2pm.

we placed 6th out of 10 bands, but there is still plenty of time in the season left to polish up the performance.

another last today!  first game of the last season of for fusion.  it ended with a 7-2 win, and little sister even made herself a goal!
