graduating cousin cookies

my neighbor ordered 3 dozen graduation cookies for a joint party she was throwing for her daughter and two nephews.  two of them earned degrees at unt, and one at arkansas.  so i got busy and designed three similar, but different, sets.  so fun!

hype camp

no rest for the marching band!  they had one day of summer (monday) and then jumped right into getting ready for the new marching season.  little sister, as part of student leadership, wanted to make a statement along with her fellow leaders in percussion, so she tie dyed shirts last weekend and i helped her personalize them.

i hope the shirts get worn more than just this once. ;-) they also were introduced to their new show theme:

graduation cookies

i only got ONE order for my traditional high school graduation set. it was for two dozen and i combined some new designs with some of the same from last year.  i think my favorite is the letter jacket!

this same friend also order two dozen from that lame school in austin.  ugh - i suffered through and made them look the best i could....but they were doomed from the start! ;-)  my favorite from this set is the pennant flag shape.  and the silkscreen stencil designs.

i always box up the goodies for customer pickup, and i love to see how they display them at their parties.

ice cream cookies

 i got a referral order today for a dozen last-day-of-school cookies.  it was fun to make icing colors based on sprinkles i already had - and i think i am slowly getting better at writing in icing!

band banquet

little sister and friends - livin' their best lives at band banquet. 

the theme was la la land, and everyone got a record keepsake to get signatures on.

i hung out with the moms that worked hard all year to make the program such a success.

and near the end of the night - i finally got a pic with my favorite percussionist.  

btw - she has on heels and that is why she is so much taller!!

one sun cookies

in the midst of knowing i had some large graduation cookie orders on the calendar, i excitedly agreed to make 3 dozen custom cookies for a lady i met on a social page and shipped them to her in north carolina.  she sent me exactly what she wanted with the freedom to adjust as i needed.  

i think they turned out great and she really loved them.

of course, i had to gift cookies to the grad - from the best school ever!!

little sister has been practicing for the past few weeks and having extra rehearsals for drumline auditions for the next school year.

auditions were last saturday, and finally today the results were announced.
