tonight was the annual soccer banquet for both girls and boys teams.

it was fun to see all the athletes dressed up and wearing something other than cleats!

the big night is finally here!  of course, i was pleased to snap pics of everyone before they headed off to dinner and then the dance.

music festival

as part of the top band this year, little sister was able to perform at the prestigious meyerson symphony center as part of a music festival.  it was cool to hear them perform here.

afterwards, we stopped for lunch on the way back home.

transfer student orientation

 today we attended transfer student orientation for big sister.the sessions were very similar to the ones we attended back in 2022 when the plan had been to enroll as a freshman - however, this time around we feel she is better equipped to succeed as a comet.  her hard work at community college paid off and earned her a transfer scholarship to sweeten the deal!

solar eclipse 2024

 

we were able to enjoy the solar eclipse from the comfort of our own backyard.

and to celebrate the event, i made cookies!
