a cold friday night game for little sister resulted in a 2-0 win. she played midfield which kept her running back and forth between offense to defense.

i think the best shot that i captured was a header she made on a throw in by the other team, basically to knock the ball back out of bounds. the girls were trying to run down the clock to preserve their 1-0 lead.  they ended up with a 2nd goal soon after and felt they could relax a bit being up by 2.  way to go, lady lobos!!

my birthday

i woke up to cards & presents - my favorite being a new portrait camera lens.  yay!

there were more goodies at work, then lunch with daddy at my favorite spot.

that evening, little sister had an away soccer game, and big sister worked to livestream basketball game, while i enjoyed a slice of german chocolate cake.  yum!

happy 4-6!

tournament

little sister played in a multi-day tournament about an hour away with the jv team.  she had games on thursday at 6:20pm, friday at 12:30pm, and saturday at 9:50am & 1:20pm.  with temps in the 30s-low 40s, i am sure the sun felt heavenly!

swim & dive cookies

i got a request last friday for cookies for a swim & dive district meet.  so i got to designing, baking, and decorating 32 cookies, 4 different designs.  i think they turned out great!

lady lobos v mustangs

the team traveled about an hour away to a 4:30 match-up against the mustangs and pulled out a win.  little sister had a little bit of play time, which is good considering she has been out the last week+ quarantining with covid.  she was so happy to be back out of the field.

only 8 decades old

happy birthday to my dad today - the big 8-0!

i made and sent a cool t-shirt and sash.  he really liked it.  he also enjoyed a fruit bouquet from my sister and my mom's german chocolate cake.  sounds like a pretty good deal to me!

our girl had her first true jv game tonight in some rather chilly weather.  she played a part of both halves and the matched ended 0-0.  she is playing with a few of her fusion friends and enjoying every minute!
