little sister & i always see people on those baking shows making french macarons.....so we thought - how hard could it be?? having a nut allergy in the house, i kept it simple and got a premade box mix.
after mixing then measuring out 1" circles on parchment, she got to piping.
they sure were tiny!
then she made the icing and assembled after they were cooled.
they were crispy and pretty good, but probably nothing we'll rush to make again. let's just say we have new respect for those tv bakers that do this during challenges and make it look so easy!
