surprise!!

today i found out that daddy has been secretly planning a weekend getaway to california for my upcoming 40th birthday.  he has the trip planned for the weekend of january 15th, taking advantage of the girls' monday holiday from school.  so i have about a week to prepare myself, pack, and decide exactly what i want to do in san diego &/or surrounding cities.  we are definitely spending a day at disneyland.  at little sister's school's fall carnival back in october, daddy bid on (& won) four 1-day tickets with park hopper for disneyland & california adventure park.  he also got help from family with hotel arrangements, so he's been planning something for a few months now.
