on our way!!

look out, california!  here we come!!

we took the girls out of school a bit early to catch our flight to the west coast.  up until we left for the airport, they thought we were going to oklahoma for the weekend to attend grandpa's retirement party.....sUrPrIsE!!  big sister was shocked and excited, but little sister's reaction was - "you mean i lied to all of my friends?!?"

we didn't tell them that we had a 90-minute drive once we arrived to get from san diego to anaheim, but we figured they would sleep in the car since we landed around their normal bedtime.  traffic was light and not at all bad like we were expecting.  it was weird to really be there - i've only had a week to process the fact that this trip was actually happening!  and now, let the fun begin!
