first home game

first home game of the season ended in a disappointing 27-24 loss, but the marching band sure did have tons of fun!  with no chance for traffic and a late arrival, there was plenty of time to man the cymbals during the first quarter.

at the start of the second, it was time to warm up.  the pit has a lot of new freshman this year.

with about 4 minute till the half, the pit crew joins the students on the track.

and that is where i am able to take photos and videos like this:

big sister finished up at work and made it to the game just before halftime, mainly to meet up with friends she graduated with that were there to flex their seniority over the lowly underclassmen still stuck in high school.  (or something like that....)

halftime always goes by way too fast, but i do enjoy my front row seat.

little sister just loves when i make her pose for pictures ;-)

daddy & i left at the top of the fourth quarter, mainly so we could beat the crowds leaving, and with little sister driving herself - it makes it a no-brainer.  after loading the truck, little sister and the rest of the pit headed back to the stands until the end of the game.  and she was back on cymbals.
