happy new year (cookies)

the first cookie set of the new year is:

new year cookies!

i tried out 2 new recipes - chocolate chip roll-out cookies

- and lemon poppy seed cookies.
the lemon ones could use more lemon flavor, but the chocolate chip ones turned out excellent.
