after being in japan on her 15th birthday, and then immediately changing her focus to summer band camp upon her return, and then school started and marching season continued until november, there really has been no good (free) time to start her online driver education. however, over christmas break, big sister finally decided to get started. and today: she got her learner's permit. daddy picked her up from school (last period) and headed to our nearest DL office. after a minor meltdown (by daddy) when there was insufficient parking, they waited for their turn and came out with the all-important piece of paper that makes her official. (3:15-5:30pm is not a super horrible wait time on a friday evening....)
