sounds of fall

another competition this saturday...after practice at our stadium, the kids were fed lunch.  daddy helped out by manning the grill warming tortillas.

then everyone changed into their uniforms and loaded the busses for the 1 hour ride to the competition.  the band performed at 3:15pm, and placed 13th out of 30 bands (only the top 10 made it to the finals round).  guard & percussion each took 4th overall.  the long day was cut short because of the homecoming dance which started at 7:30pm, so big sister was able to get home around 6:00pm and relax the rest of the evening.  such a rare treat on a competition saturday!!
