summer vacation - day 1

up early and headed to the airport for a 9:30am flight!  here we come, orlando!

 

 our flight was on time and a smooth beginning to our vacation.  once landed around noon, we got our luggage, found our rental car, and headed to the hotel on international drive.  we found a nearby restaurant for lunch since our room was not quite ready yet - which was fine because by that point we were pretty hungry!

 our home for the next week!

 our first adventure was disney springs - we enjoyed seeing sights that were familiar...

 ...and the new coca-cola store was packed with awesome finds that you could only imagine!  they had a little bit of everything.

 of course, we had to stop for mickey ice cream bars and sandwiches - a refeshing treat on this rainy muggy afternoon.

for dinner, we enjoyed on the border on the patio, and a friendly balloon artist stopped by to make the kids whatever balloon they wanted.  it was a really great first (low-key) day.
