holiday parade

 

little sister played bass 2 tonight in her last town holiday parade.

so of course, we went to cheer her on!

drums were decked out in full hoiday spirit.

my goal was to get one nice family photo for this year's christmas card.....

i ended up with so much more.

lucky enough to play in the first half of today's game at home - before running off to a drumline competition.  the opposing team was in pink, so we pulled out our OG green jerseys.  score was 5-1 at the half, and the team finished the game with a 10-1 victory.  

little sister forgot her cleats at school, so she borrowed a pair - which were too small and gave her a blister.  she tried a larger mismatched pair towards the end of the half, but the damage was already done.

the last game

little sister ended her senior marching band season tonight at an away football game.  i think she had a blast being on drumline and formed some really great friendships.  i will miss watching her perform and hope she knows i'm her biggest fan.

our annual trip to the pumpkin patch - a bit windy but still beautiful!

another saturday.....another performance....this time the full band was on display as they competed in the preliminary round at 2:45pm - and yes it was yet again so very hot.

i was able to jump up into the stands and take pics during the performance.

we didn't place in the top ten - so that meant we did not advance to finals.  there was a lot of tough competition but we walked away feeling proud and determined to work on the feedback we got and make next week's show even better.
