promposal

although it has been the plan for a few months now, big sister's prom date finally made it official with a promposal.  boba tea, her favorite!!

lilies in bloom

each year the girls get bigger and it's harder to make the lilies the focus of the photo.  i also spread out the bulbs so they are not as clumped together - thus not as full-looking in photos.  oh well, the tradition must continue so that is just part of the fun!

scholarship recognition

seniors were recognized today for receiving scholarships, both directly from schools they got into and from other local organizations.  big sister's is from twu.  we are so proud!

so very happy

little sister has been wanting a beetle for a while now, and we finally found the cutest one.  daddy & i went to test drive it yesterday and bought it right then and there.  

i love how the dash is the same color as the car.  you just can't not smile when driving it.

daddy loves vanilla - so i found a vanilla pudding snickerdoodle cake recipe to try this year, and it sure was delicious!  happy 48!!
