meet the teacher

tonight the high school hosted their annual meet the teacher event.  big sister had band practice from 4-6pm, then we went straight inside the school for meet the teacher from 6:30-8pm.  we walked her schedule and met with 6 of her 8 teachers.  everyone had complimentary things to say and we're looking forward to a great year.

meanwhile, closer to home, little sister was making some money by refereeing her first game of the fall season.  it's been nice for her to have her own money to spend for a change! ;-)

football friday: lobos v texans

the first game of the season was at home, and we had the pleasure of having lots of family in the stands with us to support big sister on the marching field. (grandpa, grandma & grandpa, and a cousin).  big sister has been tasked as a "b" marcher this year, so she will get to fill in for other marchers that cannot attend games or competitions.  she filled in this week for someone who went out of town.  we were excited to finally she the show they have been working on for weeks.

little sister's first game of the 8th grade volleyball season was a win!  they traveled to navo and won in 2 games: 25-13, 25-20.  little sister played in the 2nd game and did great!

 
 

 

meet the lobos

this evening, both girls participated in the beginning-of-year pep rally for the school district.  big sister played music with the band, and little sister walked across the field with her fellow volleyball athletes.  it's fun to see the whole town come together to cheer on our kids from all grades and schools.

fusion v shamrock united

it was a beautiful morning for the first game of the fall soccer season.  an 8:45am start time meant it wasn't too hot yet, and overcast skies and a slight breeze almost made the humidity pleasant.  little sister's team is sporting a new color this season, and they sure do look sharp!  the fusion ladies pulled out a 3-0 victory, with little sister scoring the first goal of the season!  let's see if she can keep that pace up.
