last volleyball game

little sister's last volleyball game for the fall season was today.  they ended up in 2nd place with a 7-1 record.  the only game they lost (first game of the season) was vindicated at the last game, where they beat in 2 sets the only team they had lost to so far, the undefeated "served hot" players.  it was a pretty even match up, but in the end, CSM prevailed.  i caught a few of the plays of the 2nd game on video.  little sister did awesome!!

as part of the 8th grade band, big sister had the opportunity tonight to stand on the field with the high school marching band during halftime and perform.  she loved it - minus the 46 degree weather!

the girls have been all about going to our local craft store on saturday & sunday afternoons for kids crafts.  most of them are free, or they charge a small fee for supplies.

the first session they attended was making pumpkin slime. (free)

the next day, we went back for pumpkin decorating.  we just had to buy the artificial pumpkin for $7, and the decorating supplies were provided.

after purchasing two shirts for $3.33 each, they were free to decorate with paint and rhinestones.

the girls took their school pictures a few weeks ago, and they both came back this week.  i am so lucky to have two such beautiful daughters, inside and out!  love them to pieces!

hunting pumpkins

today was a gorgeous day with cooler temps - for a nice change!!  what better time to go to the pumpkin patch?!  so sweet!!

fall concert

tonight was big sister's 8th grade fall concert with the symphonic band.  it's awesome to say that she still loves being in band.  she has been working really hard lately and practicing at home more than she used too.  she is talking about continuing into marching band next year, so we are all very excited.

the girls joined little sister's soccer team again this year and participated in the annual homecoming parade.  this year's theme was:

the girls dressed up like they were from the 1980's...i even crimped little sister's hair!
