last triple header

ahhhhh, the bittersweet day has finally arrived....our last 2 cheer games were today.  and it was truly the perfect lineup since all games were played in our home city.

10:15am - little sister played soccer vs. the tiny titans - **sparkles*** win 11-1

12 noon - little sister cheers

1:30pm - big sister cheers

and the weather is finally feeling like fall! ;-)

it's been a long month waiting for this day - but it's finally here!!

trick or treating in our neighborhood was just as fun as in years past.  lots of candy, remembering to say "thank you", and comfortable shoes.  ;-)  and the cool weather kept a spring in our step so we did not doddle too much.

sunshine house had their annual fall carnival tonight and we decided to go just to see old friends and teachers.  we switched the girls from daycare to the afterschool program at their elementary school at the beginning of october so they could participate in some afterschool activities easier.  they were happy to see everyone.

pumpkins on the prairie

well, plan A was to go to the pumpkin patch yesterday, when the girls had no school and i took the day off to spend with them.  but strong winds and chilly temps forced us to stay indoors - we took in a movie instead and made a pot of soup.  so, on the way home from school today, with temps in the low 70's and a gorgeous blue sky, along came plan B.  the girls played in the hay maze and went on the hayride, but not before we explored the rows and rows of pumpkins.

daddy-daughter date

daddy took little sister to association night at the FC dallas game.  we got free tickets because she is a player.  she got to walk across the field before the game with other players and her coach.
