we've been talking all summer about revisiting the waterpark at the gaylord, and this weekend we finally did it. along with so many other people! we checked into the hotel at 2pm yesterday and headed to the waterpark around 4pm. not the best idea - no open lounge chairs, no tubes for the lazy river so many were just walking in it lumped together with everyone else, and it was super hot/humid. we regrouped, had a nice dinner, relaxed in the room and tried again this morning.
we entered as the gates opened at 9am, easily had our pick of shady lounge chairs, and were able to float lazily in tubes a few times around the lazy river. after about an hour, we had had our fill as more and more people were arriving & the temperature was rising. with the car already packed, we headed home.
the last time we were here was in june of 2017. the room we stayed in was not even there at that time (it opened in may 2018). we used the app on my phone to check in and keylessly enter the room. i had the girls recreate a few photos during our stay.

the main thing i remember about this last photo is how much the girls loved those swimsuits. little sister was a big fan of emojis and big sister liked all the fringe!!  |
