we basically only
had one week all summer that worked with the girls’ and grandma’s schedule for
camp – and this was that week! because of that, our usual camp location did
not work out. so we found a new camp host – the oklahoma children’s
theater. the girls ended up having a better time than i think they
expected. they were nervous to try somewhere new, but it all worked out.
big sister’s camp
was called “foundations of art.”
designed to
help young artists find their own creative voice, our foundations of art class
is a fun and unique opportunity for budding young artists to develop their
artistic arsenal. throughout this class, students will learn foundational skills
of drawing, painting, sculpture, and other artistic mediums through a series of
age and skill appropriate hands-on workshops. this class will explore the power
of visual interpretation in art – encouraging students to find a method of
creating art and looking at art that evokes a personal connection. friends and
families are invited to a final gallery viewing of student work at the end of
the session.
Little sister’s
first choice (artlab: filmmaking) was full, so she chose “dance 2” as an
alternate.

dancing shoes and join us in this exciting introductory skill class. suitable
for boys and girls alike, students will work hard as they learn the
fundamentals of movement and rhythm, working together to choreograph a
performance to dazzle friends and family at our end of session performance.
great for students of all skill-levels and experience, our experienced
instructors work hard to emphasize each student’s individual talents, bringing
out quality performances while adding to their love of dance.
